Five stops, and you can see each one
A purchase follows the same route every time. Nothing is asked of you before you have a figure in writing, and nothing is paid to us before the name is in your account.
The stops on the route
-
A note, either way
Renata writes to the business a name fits, or you write to ask about a name. A reply of a line or two is plenty.
No forms to fill, no call needed. -
One figure
You get a single price for the name, in writing. It is not the opening move in a haggle. If it does not suit you, say so, and you will not be chased.
Usually the same or the next working day. -
A short agreement
A plain written agreement: the name, the figure, the escrow service, who pays its fee, and how the name will move. Your own adviser is welcome to read it.
As long as your sign-off takes. -
Payment into escrow
You pay the escrow service, never us directly. The escrow service tells both sides when the funds are secured, and then the name moves.
A few days, depending on how you pay. -
The name in your account
If your registrar is the one that holds the name today, it is pushed straight into your account. Otherwise it is transferred with an authorisation code. You confirm it is there; escrow then releases the funds.
A push can take minutes; a registrar change usually takes up to a week.
Paying over time
For a larger figure, the price can be split into monthly instalments. The name stays with the escrow service while you pay and moves to you with the last instalment. The number of months and any setup cost are written into the agreement before you commit.
After the name is yours
You renew it each year with your registrar at their ordinary rate, like any other domain you own. We have no further part in it, and no reason to contact you about it again.
